October Launch
This chamber will officially launch its operations and this website October 1, 2013 10am - 12pm Rm 329 at Hawaii State Capital. Meet the people and organizations promoting "accessible aloha" for Hawaii. Presentations will be made outlining efforts and programs that offer employment, partnering or ownership opportunities.October is the National Disability Employment Awareness Month, a national campaign that raises awareness about disability employment issues and celebrates the many and varied contributions of U.S. workers with disabilities.
Simultaneously the State of Hawaii has recently declared October as Travelers with Disabilities Month.
December 3 is formally recognized by The United Nations as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
