Honolulu, Hawai'i, U.S. - Ms. Celestine Mokihana Maldonado is a United Nations Association USA (UNA-USA) Hawaii-Honolulu Chapter Board Member and Young Professional Chair for youth education and activities. She will be competing with 25 others in the Interview, Evening Gown, Sports Wear and On-Stage Question segments on March 10, 2018 7:30PM PST on The Queen Mary in Long Beach, California - to become Ms. America® 2018. As the current Ms. Hawaii, she will be expand her outreach and further her mission of empowering today's youth through education, active participation and diplomacy. |
Serving as the liaison for dignitaries, Ms. Maldonado help set the atmosphere at the World Youth Congress in Honolulu, Hawaii on Nov 17, 2017. In attendance were youth delegates from 30 countries seen here with the Polynesian Voyaging Society's sailing canoe Hokule'a. UNA-USA Hawaii-Honolulu honored Hokule'a as it takes time off from voyages that address cultural extinction by perpetuating the art and science of traditional Polynesian voyaging through experiential educational programs that inspire students and their communities to respect and care for themselves, each other, and their natural and cultural environments. |
